Add option for rendering "Default" buttons with thick borders

Open ph0enix-c0der opened this issue 11 months ago • 2 comments

Add a Default Button option to the Options control panel that puts a second, bold, outer circle around the default choice in a dialog box, just like the later Mac and the IIGS. This issue replaces issue #252. Unlike in issue #252, in this issue the user decides whether they want a second, bold, outer circle around the default choice in a dialog box or not. This way the user can decide whether they want to tolerate any unintended visual degradation of the visual appearance or not. There is already an option in the Options control panel to show / hide keyboard shortcuts on buttons and in dialogs. This would just be an additional option.

Plausible. Not something I will tackle, but it should be relatively straightforward for a new contributor.

A good first step here would be for someone to mock up the button appearance in a paint program, using screenshots from a few dialogs. If using a modern image editor, a 1x2 pixel ratio is close enough.
