The array shader has no visual support, is that a bug or hasn't it been implemented yet??
Individual textures for an array shader can't be setup with the old UI, so it is intented that the Edit
button does nothing. And tbh, I'm considering to remove that popup in the future, because it can all be done in the inspector through shader parameters.
This kind of shader is still relatively experimental so it might have a few issues compared to older ones. Make sure you follow the steps here https://github.com/Zylann/godot_heightmap_plugin/blob/master/addons/zylann.hterrain/doc/main.md#array-workflow
The errors you get aren't expected though. Please fill in the issue template, explaining how you get them.
I can't really describe exactly what I did since I was pretty deep into a creation process and had been working for over an hour getting all the parameters right, but I generally generated the terrain and regenerated it like ten times, switched the selected shader around several times, fiddled with the geometry some more and then pressed the buttons several times generating the same errors every time, switching back to the classic 4 worked fine. I realize that this bug report is Hugely unhelpful, but it's the best I got...
