Dark Mode
First thanks a lot for this splendid app! Finally brings me back to my 10k steps-a-day as I really enjoy it (and in my surroundings, almost every quest of StreetComplete is already solved). Every Door allows me adding missing peaces with ease :star_struck:
But when collecting information at night, the screen is far too bright and blinding. Would it be possible to support "Dark Mode"? Like StreetComplete, OsmAnd, OrganicMaps turning it on after sunset? Or even just on-demand with a toggle? That would help a lot. Thanks in advance for considering!
I wonder which OSM layer I need to use for that :)
Sorry, I cannot tell. But maybe asking our friends at StreetComplete? Tobias could possibly answer that. For starters, if you could apply that to settings? Those screens are the most bright ones.
In StreetComplete, a vector map that is rendered on the client. In EveryDoor — raster maps, i.e. the image comes from the server already rendered in png format. Just invert the colors, it will be ugly. The site osm.org has the same problem now https://github.com/openstreetmap/openstreetmap-website/issues/2332

Skip the last word – I had that problem as long as I can remember – or was it just with Dark Reader? :see_no_evil:
Then maybe just the "other" pages (like settings) for now – or would that be to inconsistent then? I'd already be happy if it were an option that's turned off by default. But then, days are getting longer now – maybe I should be patient and hope for a solution to emerge before the next winter :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

One could perhaps try to use the Flutter equivalent of CSS
filter: invert() hue-rotate(180deg);
on the map tiles, which basically inverts brightness, but keeps colour the same. As a stopgap dark mode it isn't too bad:
