Feature request: Additional Calendar sources
Hello,
This application could be improved by syncing with Nextcloud Calendar or Kalendar to provide more flexibility to users that have a desire to not use google services.
PS: Thank you so much for developing this amazing widget. Best calendar widget out there for KDE.
I support this request. I would love to sync my Fastmail calendar, which uses CalDAV.
@pawlosck How does this work? It is not at all apparent to me how this can be done looking through the preferences.
With Akonadi. But as much as I love KDE, I hate Akonadi so I would like an alternative option from the widget settings.
@archer46 I did it one or two years ago, so I don't remember all steps, but you can look at this issue https://github.com/Zren/plasma-applet-eventcalendar/issues/12#issuecomment-1232062650
If I remember well, I had to install some packages and turn one option on in widget. Events->Plasma calendar Plugins. After that, you should see new tab on left side with calendars from KDE.
If it will not work, write comment in issue above and maybe @Shmik2003 will help you. He did it 2 days ago, so he should remember all steps.
