PIP feature not working as intended

Hello,

I'm having trouble setting up the PIP feature. In the description you said it should go to the bottom right, but it goes directly to the upper left. Both in X11 and Wayland. It's also not having 10px padding nor does it show on every virtual desktop. How can I troubleshoot this, since I also don't understand the syntax of this option (what do the +- mean?)
