AppImage 1.7.6 from releases not working on debian desktop login validated but API failed - config is fine

I download the zmninja from this page using the AppImage 1.7.6 on deian linux desktop cinnamin https://github.com/ZoneMinder/zmNinja/releases

I setup the config the exact same way as my android phone, and my macbook app and it keep saying login validated but API failed. Obviously it works on several other phones and tablets etc. My config is not wrong. does anyone know the reason for this?

Having this same issue only on Windows with latest build. The android app works flawless no issues, windows is always "API Access failed. Please make sure your APIs are configured correctly and are accessible."

What scary is the log shows password in plain text in one of the errors below the above one.
