Example from MDL manual renders incorrectly

This example from the manual renders and operates correctly at jsfiddle, but does not render as expected with zodiase:mdl

1. Tabs are unresponsive
2. Hamburger menu does not appear
3. Spacing and rendering is just not correct.

This is a distilled example from the manual.

Is this a bug, or am I missing something? Any assistance appreciated.
