Build issues in modern environments

This is a pain to build in newer environments, due to gcc and glibc moving on. Is this project still active? I'm currently trying to compile it because I need a toolchain for my 3516ev100 board, but if there are easier ways to get that I'm open to suggestions. I can create a PR if I get this to compile on my machine, if there is interest.
