Phoenix blows itself up on shields
Phoenix bombing a shield drops the bombs onto the bubble point blank, so if you have multiple they will teamkill each other.
That was a very good bombing run though. All those Pheonix had to go down to bring the shield low enough. I think this is a " do at your own risk" thing, since bomber targets are manually controlled.
It's a bit of an UX problem though, players don't expect it and it feels really bad to lose your airfleet this way (especially if you barely do any damage because shield stops all the flavours of fire).
