Ambient volume slider controls unintended sounds

Open IndeIrae opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

The option is meant to control map sounds, mostly used to kill ambience of bubbles popping in your inner ear on lava maps or artistic choices like hurricane Katrina going off on the premises of Red Comet Remake. For several reasons a bunch of sound effects carry omnidirectional quality, and those seem to be affected by the slider too, making it akward to use. The affected sound effects are:

  • Trinity's launch sound;
  • Thunderbird's attack;
  • Starlight's laser sounds;
  • Urchin's, Duck's and Scallop's torpedo launches;
  • Everything to do with Djinn's teleportation.

Might be more, that's what I've caught. From what I can tell they all use "Spring.PlaySoundFile", probably something to do with that.
