It has been merged. I think it'll take effect when a new version of Bluesky is uploaded to the servers. EDIT: It just took a while to take effect. So,...
They can use CAPTCHA or something.
This seems to have been fixed by a PR that implements CAPTCHA in place of phone verification (which has been merged). Now to wait for a new release.
Any news regarding this?
