Slow writing speed !!

Very slow writing speed eg when copy files from external hdd to internal i get like 6mb/s i thought okay maybe it's just the usb limit but when i tried multiman the speed is like 20mb/s thats a huge difference what takes a mere 20 minutes to transfer in multiman takes 3 hours in managunz please solve it
