multiplayer mod crossplay on android and laptop on SMAPI failed connection

so i have an issue that my gf can join my hosted room that i made, i use the zerotier one app for the server to make us connect, but eventually it didnt work, it always said that my gf (using phone) failed to connect, but i also already try to play the online with my own laptop and phone and its working fine, so is the problem are because we booth didnt use the same wifi?, or its because you need a better internet to connect from afar?, or is there anything else that make it didnt work properly?, btw we use the same SMAPI/Stardew Valley version.
