Virtual Keyboard cant work with some mod

Hello, i'm new to SMAPI and so i recently just install a portraiture mod for CJBurger's portraits mod and install it as instructed at Nexus Mods but, when i try it, the portraits didn't change and i have difficulties with the keyboards since it keeps closing and ending the conversations with the npc.
