Can't open largish file - no errors or progress

I'm trying to open a JSON file that's about 60MB - not small, but not gigantic by some people's standards I guess :)

Nothing appears in the window, and there are no error messages that I can see or any progress of any kind.

Is there anything I can do to get it to work?
