What will be the translations mechanism?

I have been contributing in several projects to translate to Spanish. I could help with this.

Hello! The translations are currently sourced from https://translatewiki.net/wiki/Translating:OpenStreetMap (the same source as the current website uses). OpenStreetMap-NG specific texts (list here) don't have a translation integration yet - we will sort it out!

If you leave this issue open, I'll remember to let you know when the NG texts are open for translation. :slightly_smiling_face:

Do you have any recommendations as to which translation platform to use (and which to avoid)? Ideally, it should integrate nicely with the i18next v4 format but anything decent will do.

These are two popular options for OSM projects:

Probably, you can continue using the same platform as OSM website - translatewiki. In this case, the Terms will be the same, and there is no need to recreate all from scratch.
