Actual website link?
Am I missing something or there is no actual website running for public? I see osm.ng, but this redirects to this github repo... Where can I actually try the website? :)
AFAIK there is no public instance running yet @Zaczero Can confirm
There isn't a public instance available yet, but we're working hard to make that happen. If you'd like to try the website today, you'll need to follow the contributor guide and set up a local instance. I've put a lot of effort into making the setup process as easy as possible, but I completely understand if you'd prefer not to do that .
I'll feel more comfortable releasing a public instance once most of the features are complete. I understand that the community can sometimes be judging, and releasing a half-baked product might not be the best idea.
Let's keep this issue open until the website is released – it'll serve as a way to track our progress. :chart_with_upwards_trend:

Sure, understood :) Just at some point there should be balance between "never releasing as software is never perfect" (I've seen such projects, so no joking) and "throwing half-baked prototype to people" ;) Maybe if you define some point in the roadmap where it can be made available for public at least as "demo" or "read only" (maybe "feature parity" point?) it would be more transparent.
Also it might allow to do the very bare estimations, how easy/hard is this for server and project to work with 1-5-10-100 users, and also help you in polishing the workflow with database dumping (while I understand you aim to be "the new OSM", at least in the short-term there should be some kind of mirroring probably..)
You bring up a great point about having a concrete workplan/roadmap. I've been thinking of it recently and I'll put something together this week. Now that I've finished up my family plans, I've got time until the end of the year to dedicate on developing the project. High chance we will reach the feature parity.
