Setting to disable page turn buttons?

Open olslash opened this issue 10 months ago • 2 comments

When using mokuro reader + yomitan on my small tablet screen, I frequently need to touch in an text-free area to dismiss the yomitan popup. The most obvious/ergonomic place is usually the left or right page margin.

However, because of the page turn buttons, this often results in an unwanted transition to a different page.

Also, because my reader also has physical page turn buttons, i don't need the touch controls.

Are there any plans to add a setting to disable these buttons? Would you accept a PR making this change?

Thanks!

You can effectively disable them by changing the "edge button width" to 1 pixel.

@Gnathonic thanks - i had turned the width all the way down expecting that, and it does help to some extent, but the margin/background of the page remains a click target -- with the device aspect ratio and frequency of tapping in that area, it still triggers enough to be annoying :)

also this particular tablet has a very small bezel and i end up touching the edge of the viewport when holding it -- that would also be nicer if i didn't have to worry about touching the remaining button area
