Other info
QR codes generated by other sites work for me, it’s just this specific one. The otpauth:// URI seems fine to me, so I’m not sure what the issue is?
(Note: There is no sensitive information in the QR code.)
Thanks! Seems to be the same issue as #537
Same error message here with at least Atlassian and DocuSign affected. The Yubico playground and Facebook ones worked fine though. In my case:
- Yubico Authenticator version: 5.0.3
- Operating system and version: macOS 10.15.4
- YubiKey model and version: YubiKey 5C
Same issue here attempting to scan a Office 365 QR code at https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info
It does not work for me, but a colleagues YubiKey 5 does work on Windows 10 20H2
My details;
- Yubico Authenticator version: 5.0.5
- Operating system and version: macOS 11.5 and Windows 10 Home 20H2
- YubiKey model and version: YubiKey 5
Yubico Authenticator 6.0 has now been released and uses a new codebase. As such, this issue has been marked with the legacy label, and will be automatically closed in 7 days. If this issue is still relevant to Yubico Authenticator 6, please comment on the issue saying so, and it will be kept open (or be re-opened). Sorry for the inconvenience!
For me Yubico Authenticator works correctly since several months. A remaining problem is sometimes, that the QR codes contain a too long "Issuer" name. Then "Add account" button becomes inactive. The solution is to shorten the "Issuer" name manually (maximum 26 characters).
