Option to close Applicaton to Tray in Ubuntu or derivates

It would be very helpful if you had the option to exit/close the authenticator in the tray. The earlier versions could/did this. Why doesn't this work anymore? In the tray itself I can select "Show window" or "Hide window". When I press the close button it closes the authenticator completly. I was hoping to have this function again in version 7. That's annoying...
