feature request: support gradient colour on branches as in FigTree

Is it possible to mimic the behaviour of figtree where the colour of the branches is determined based on the status of the node they connect to and then a gradient applied E.g.

Rather than this -

In FigTree this is done with the Gradient check box under Appearance.
