Can you include some details, like which options did you select on one computer and which options on the other?

You have to enter the IP address or host name of the computer with Server role. If it doesn't connect, then it's probably blocked by a firewall or Windows network profile.

it not blocked

If you're using Windows firewall try to go to Network settings, click on your active connected network image and switch to private image

Also go to the Windows Firewall image select "Allow an app through firewall" image and add GZDoom.

If you're using some third party firewall or antivirus, you have to somehow allow GZDoom to communicate over UDP port shown in the Doom Runner (5029), on both computers.
