Readability's text-mark feature support
Hey Guys,
We are using Yoast SEO Premium alongside this plugin to make sure Yoast checks our ACF-fields.
When I go to the Readability tab, and click on the eye-icon to mark the described sentences for example, I would expect to see my content in question marked. This is working in the default wordpress editor, but not in the ACF-text-field.
Is there any way to make this work in ACF-fields as well? Or is this going to be implemented later on?
Hey Guys,
Any update regarding this Issue?
~~This might be related to #12~~
Nope, not related to #12.
Probably some extra work is needed here.
Are there any plans on implementing this any time soon?
Plus 1
It would be great to see this implemented. A temporary workaround might be to hide the button when the problems found are exclusive to ACF fields—that way, users won't be searching for marked text that isn't there.
As per https://github.com/Yoast/yoast-acf-analysis/issues/12#issuecomment-324080700 this no longer seems to be the case.
-
Add a page with some content.
-
Create WYSIWYG ACF Fields

-
Add content to fields
-
Click on an eye icon and see it only highlight the text in the block

- Use webworker tool to inspect and see that Yoast is actually scanning those ACF fields
Tested with WP: 5.3.2 ACF: 5.8.7 ACF Pro: 5.8.7 Yoast: 12.7.1

Four years on, and it still hasn't been addressed. Have to ask, is Yoast still being actively developed, or is it winding down now?
