Internal Link Counter doesn't count links from ACF

Please give us a description of what happened.

Incoming internal links don't get counted if they are coming from ACF.

Please describe what you expected to happen and why.

Internal Link Counter should count them.

How can we reproduce this behavior?

1. Place an internal link in an ACF Field
2. Check if it gets counted in the page/post overview

• WordPress version: 4.8
• Yoast SEO version: 5.0.1
• Relevant plugins in case of a bug: ACF PRO 5.5.14

No. I will test it and leave some feedback to see if it works.

I've tried the following plugins without success:

• ACF Content Analysis for Yoast SEO 1.2.6
• Yoast ACF Analysis 1.2.0

The link is in a Wysiwyg Editor Field. I guess this might be the reason why it also doesn't work with these plugins.

The same problem happens with internal links added to a Wysiwyg Editor ACF field. They are detected in the content analysis but not reflected in the text link counters on the all posts overview page.

ACF Pro, everything's updated. Internal link counter still not working as expected

I am having the same problem with my website that uses ACF, ACF PRO, and Elementor Pro but I'm using Rankmath for SEO instead of Yoast. Rankmath is not counting the internal links in any of the custom post areas and therefore Google is not indexing most of my posts as its seeing them as orphan pages. Does anyone have a solution to this very irritating issue. Thank you
