Open benvaassen opened this issue 7 years ago • 3 comments

Please give us a description of what happened.

Page analysis ignores the custom post type slug when reviewing the page URL the following produces a warning.

https://www.wildimages-phototours.com/photography-tours/antarctica-south-georgia-wildlife-2019/

Focus keyword: Photography

The focus keyword does not appear in the URL for this page. If you decide to rename the URL be sure to check the old URL 301 redirects to the new one!

Please describe what you expected to happen and why.

Expected the page analysis to read the full page URL

How can we reproduce this behavior?

  1. Create custom post type page
  2. Create focus keyword using the custom post type slug
  3. Review Yoast SEO page analysis

Technical info

  • WordPress version: 4.8.1
  • Yoast SEO version: 5.7.1
  • Relevant plugins in case of a bug:

Yoast is only able to read the slug:

1

2

Possible solutions:

We can either:

  • Improve the description of the analysis OR
  • Check the entire URL for the focus keyword instead of just the slug
