Excavator starting every few seconds

Since Monero Mining isn't really working anymore I found Nicehash for my 8 3GB Nvidia GTXX 1060s. Sadly I couldn't configure NicehashOS at all and I don't receive any information about errors that happen so I tried your miner because I am using Linux for mining.

The idea sounds amazing but I can't manage to get it to work. I would be very thankful if you could help me. After finishing the benchmark in the GUI version of the miner i can try to run it and run into two issues: The first was that the miner could not be started which I fixed for now by removing GPUs reducing the amount to 5. Now the miner starts, ist running sometimes and shown on Nicehash but it restarts every few seconds. Is that how it is supposed to work? Also I read that excavator was closed down so does Nuxhash still work for mining on Linux?

Can you explain what you mean by "restarts every few seconds"? On the NiceHash web interface, you can expect your miner to appear and disappear constantly, since mining is a probabilistic process with long gaps between successful hash submissions.

As for excavator - yes, development is stopped, but it will still run on recent Linux systems. I intend to write drivers for more modern miners eventually.
