Feature request: customise branding
just like the MC agent branding customisation, add this also to the assistent.
the hover popup of the sys tray icon does not apply "title" customisation.
Basically, I need to add an option to customize Assistant without a built-in agent... will add that.
The Assistant is fine with built-in agent and to use a background (custom) agent combined into 1 exe. But I expect the hover title to be the name of the title of the selected agent. Not the "standard default" name "MeshCentral Assistant".
Just published MeshCentral v0.8.57, Assistant has branding on tray icon tooltip.
Upgrading Assistent from previous version to this new version will not upgrade it. It keeps asking to confirm the upgrade. I have to remove manually and download the new one.
Tooltip has been fixed.
Additional: the custom image is not shown when the assistant is using the direct connection. Then the default image is shown.
For the MeshCentral Assistant update, you will need to manually update it once. With customization being added dynamically into the signed executable, it would break the update security check. I have to change the hashing to fix this but older version of Assistant do not support this.
