Chat response awareness.

All too often in chat, the chat window disappears into the browser tabs. Can we do something to make a new message received be made known to the remote user?

i.e.

1. flash the browser icon on the task bar, with the flashing tab?
2. make the chat "always on top"
3. make the chat window pop up on new message
4. make the chat a windows notification?
5. make the chat show up as a toast message?
6. probably better ways I can't think of?

This is a good point. I do support browser toast notification, but the user has to opt in for it. I don't think I can make a browser window "always ok top", there are limitations to what you can do within the browser sandbox. I am swamped with work these days, if someone has a specific idea how to solve this based on other web chat website, I would put some time into it.
