Remote input in the Android agent

Open zaromarco opened this issue 2 years ago • 10 comments

I saw a video from some months ago in the meshcentral YouTube channel , in that video @Ylianst say is read only the desktop connection because of android. I'm using anydesk and I can do remote interation on android , why meshcentral is not capable if anydesk do it?

In order to do remote input injection on android, requires phone specific driver support, which requires OEM support for each handset.

Fixed bad title.

I hope in the future meshcentral will do it at least on major brands

Can we look at achieving this using scrcpy? >> https://github.com/Genymobile/scrcpy

Not sure if this helps but perhaps the way they accomplish remote input could somehow be done on mesh central?

I see it require adb debug enabled...This is not a feature a normal user enable or know how to find it..

Is it at least possible to send mouseclicks? And if not.. maybe it´s possible that the android agent polls for new mouseclicks on the meshcentral server? That would be great for a little customer support :-) I usually do that with teamviewer-quicksupport.apk and blackview.apk, don´t know, how they do that... but teamviewer sucks: no own server hosting and earning money is more important to them than user experience ^^

I hope they will implement because seeing the screen only could be a nightmare with some users...you need to give direction via phone call and is not very simple

Hello I don't know if that can help but FYI another great FOSS project called "Rustdesk" is doing remote input on Android devices
