Will it work with Homekit Edition ?

Kind of like a Ouroboros.

If its the Homekit edition, then it doesn't need Homebridge to operate.

FYI, the Homeket edition is useless, I have it and I have the old one, just use the old one as its a roll of the dice if you can find an accessory that will actually connect to the Homekit gateway, and then its another roll of the dice again if that connected device will actually show up under Homekit.

What if I connected the gateway to Homekit, but blocked the internet access to/from the gateway(for privacy reasons). Now i can control all my devices from Homekit within wifi, but not from the internet outside of my wifi. Wouldnt I be able to control the devices by use of homebridge, while the gateway itself has no direct internet access?

Btw. as of 2019 Aqara gateway is not "useless". It works with all Aqara devices but not with Mijia devices. Very simple.
