Failed to play sound

This is a great timer, however I find it failed to play sound file ( mp3, wav ). I‘m using win10 1607.

Hello, thank you for reporting issue. By failing, I assume you mean nothing plays ? or do you get error/application crash ? One specific file fails to play ? have you tried several different ?

nothing plays, no error prompt, just nothing happend. I tried several files (big and samll), none of them can be played.

Same problem. Windows 10 Pro version 1809. I am hearing distance from my computer all the time so sound effects would be nice. Have one link to a sound on the internet and one on the local computer. Can't figure out why it won't work. Using the sound file links the Windows 10 included sound software plays the sound. I also have a problem restarting YAPA. When the computer goes to sleep it is sometimes impossible to restart. A windows type of screen (sometimes) shows up and it asks if it should continue. Most of the time it is impossible to restart YAPA without restart of computer.
