Open Stellanora64 opened this issue 1 month ago • 2 comments

Describe the bug?

When you verify the game integrity of resonite the old python script of yt-dlp is installed for linux, which is no longer supported via Steam Linux Runtime 3.0

To Reproduce

Verify the game integrity of resonite and see that the python script is downloaded, despite being removed in the last update.

Reproduction Item/World

N/A

Expected behavior

The python script should no longer be retrieved when verifying / downloading resonite, and should be removed instead.

What Platforms does this occur on?

Log Files

These logs do show a successful download as it did manage to select yt-dlp_linux correctly for me, but other users have had it only use the python script instead, leading to yt-dlp not working due to the aforementioned steam runtime python version. (likely due to yt-dlp.backup being the python script instead of the glibc build)

~~Resonite now uses the binary called yt-dlp_linux directly. The one called yt-dlp is no longer being used, so if that's the one you're talking about, you need not be concerned.~~

I realize I misunderstood the point you made, sorry. Indeed, the file is no longer used and should no longer be downloaded by Steam.
