Renderite.Renderer crash on load

Open Adreos opened this issue 1 month ago • 4 comments

Describe the bug?

When opening the game, in desktop or VR mode, the game immediately crashes with the error "Renderite.Renderer - Unity 2019.4.19f1_ca5b14067cec"

Image

This only happens when trying to load the game normally with data and cache folders intact. If Cache and Data are removed (or renamed) it generates the Cache folder and just closes without leaving logs.

This happens to me continuously about 1 to 5 minutes into the game at random... the render crashes ntdll.dll module.... Originally thought it was memory related doesn't happen on any other games and I did a 48+ hour memory load both Vram and Dram. Swapped computers and it does it on them too... IDK other friends don't have any issues...

It might be related to the setups though. I use a tracker and continuous calibration to reference my quest pro headsets to my steamvr environments. Outright unplayable at the moment. This is the event log print out on my 4090 PC:

This issue is now rendered moot for me. But here is information in case it helps for future cases.

I was in need of a reinstall of my OS so I did that but copied the %appdata% folders over. Resonite still was crashing. (My %appdata% does not include the cache or data folders of resonite as I have those on another drive)

Seeing the problem persisted across OS I realized that it may be a problem in the transfered files. So I deleted local/temp/yellow dog man studios and locallow/yellow dog man studios. Running resonite again caused it to regenerate these folders and then resonite was able to load.

I have the problematic folders archived and can send them if desired.
