How about a mana diamond, a mana rune, a gluttony rune, and 4 mystical petals matching the color of the desired rune?

We can replace the mana diamond with a regular spark, and drop the gluttony rune. Keep in mind that runes aren't consumed by the runic altar, though, so you'd only need one.
