• Some Nim syntax is the same as Markdown, so e.g. when people write cast[type](thing), Discord parses it as a Markdown link, which results in wrong text on Discord. Possible solutions: Escape all markdown-related stuff coming from IRC (but what about backticks?), support this specifically (a bad idea), ask people to always use backticks for code in IRC.
