@EvanBoyle I've watched some talks with you on Azure Search and this component (automagic that is). You've mentioned being it open sourced (and for now a side project). What are you actual development plans? Have you a clean document for contributors? See: https://github.com/aspnet/Home/blob/dev/CONTRIBUTING.md

@peterblazejewicz Thanks for the recent contributions! To be clear, we're working on getting this project along with AzSearch.js to a 1.0 state. This isn't just a side project, we're invested in shipping this as our javascript SDK, and will have first class support similar to the .net SDK.

We don't currently have a contribution document or guidelines. This is definitely something we need to work on. Work has been primarily focused on polishing and refining the existing api surface area, driven mostly by issues found through usage in AzSearch.js. Right now we're trying to collect feedback on the shape of the api, and feature coverage. We need more users to try and build apps and tell us what was good/bad, what features are missing, etc. I guess what your asking for is for this to be formalized in a document?

Is this project dead? don't get me wrong, I think this is a pretty complete / professional "beta", if you will, but without a commit in ~7 months this seems very far away from the statement of "This isn't just a side project, we're invested in shipping this as our javascript SDK". I am merely wondering if it's time to roll our own solutions?

Hi. The project is not dead but on-hold. We'll resume the work as soon as we fill in this position: http://aka.ms/searchuxjob Interested? :)
