It won't help. The entire hooking needs to be redone if we want to support the 25th anniversary builds on Linux. Which I personally don't think is worth the effort.

Hmm, could you post `journalctl --user-unit=niri -b` when reproducing the issue? Let's see if there's anything weird regarding libinput lid events. Also try if [`keep-laptop-panel-on-when-lid-is-closed`](https://github.com/YaLTeR/niri/wiki/Configuration:-Debug-Options#keep-laptop-panel-on-when-lid-is-closed) fixes it for you.
