Dark Tricks v3.0 - getting SystemUI FCs constantly on rooted stock Pixel 8 Pro Android 14 December firmware uq1a.231205.015

Magisk 26.4 Stable LSposed 1.9.2

Also have installed: PixelXpert Canary build 314 (comes after v3.20 Stable, although 314 isn't the latest Canary) - no idea if there could actually be conflict.

I downloaded Tricks_v3.0.apk, installed it, made a handful of configurations from what was available, rebooted, and all I get are constant SystemUI FCs, leading to the lock screen over and over. Had to temporarily flash the stock unrooted init_boot.img. I'd have to load on another rooted phone to remember which all items I enabled. The only one I recall for sure is the "Less frequent notifications (sound and vibration)", which I set to the maximum of two minutes.

The following didn't help (I tried several times and after several reboots). It's possible it needs me to approve Root access, but I can't because of the SystemUI FCs. I'll have to take care of that next time I have root working, for just in case.:

adb wait-for-device shell su -c "touch /data/adb/modules/zygisk_lsposed/disable" adb reboot

I'd rather not go to Safe Mode, but will if I run out of ideas, but primarily of course just wanted to let you know. No idea if there are any logs/files I can get you while I remain unrooted for now, but let me know. Thanks.

Same issue, also on Pixel 8 Pro but using v3.1. Attached is the error it threw in logcat

crash.log

Also in the future @roirraWedorehT , instead of reflashing you can hold volume down after you get past the bootloader screen to boot android in safe mode. It'll vibrate to let you know.

@alphapuggle Thank you, I was trying to avoid Safe Mode, and I did manage to avoid it in the end. I ended up using PixelFlasher to wipe the data for the Dark Tricks app and then uninstall Dark Tricks, and then I was fine. Before that, I also tried the Developer (@badabing2005) of PixelFlasher's alternative Magisk 26.4 build "Special Magisk with modules loading disabled", but that didn't help at all. Once I was able to uninstall Dark Tricks through PixelFlasher, I was able to reinstall Magisk Stable 26.4 and re-flash the Magisk'd init_boot.img.
