Basic Markdown syntaxes with optional extensions, just like https://github.com/vsch/flexmark-java

For GNU TeXmacs based Editors, we can use style packages to add/remove extra markdown features.

I just discovered an excellent markdown editor Zettlr, from which we can borrow a lot of beautiful features, e.g., Zotero Integration.
