How to reduce power consumption in sleep

Open ntsewell opened this issue 1 year ago • 1 comments

We are trying to use this module on a sealed lead acid battery with a regular to power the module via the 5V pin because we want to use the modem. We have tried putting the device into sleep and deep sleep and the board still uses considerable amounts of current, not the uA that a normal ESP32 would use. Instead, we cannot get below about 5mA which is considerably more and makes using this dev board for our application basically impossible.

We are coding in the Arduino IDE.

Does anyone have experience of getting the current usage down please?

Thanks in advance!

Not sure which version of the module you have, but are you powering down the modem LDO before going to sleep?
