[FEATURE]: Better visualization of the strip or bus a dial sets

  • [x] I understand that the Loupedeck VoiceMeeter plugin has NO affiliation with VoiceMeeter.com or VB-Audio

Feature

The gain dials used to show the name of the strip or bus as INx and Ax/Bx etc. Now, it always only shows "Gain" for each. It is hard to discern, which fader is actually on the dial. You can't even put your own text on the button, as that breaks the button.

Also, the little gauges for the gain dials are colored rather randomly. It used to be green for strips and grey for buses, at least with a value <= 0. While the preview in the software does make that color distinction, what is shown on the device mostly does not.

Solution

Some way to achieve that the Gain gauges are distinguishable on the device.

Hey!

Could you provide maybe some kind of screenshots, or even better, a video that explains the issue. That way I can get a better understanding of the request.

Here you can see Gain dials for two strips and two dials: Strip 1 top left, Strip 4 top right, Bus 4 bottom left, Bus 1 bottom right. They all only show "Gain" and are green. No way to discern them without other buttons next to them. There is no way to put text in there oneself, as this breaks interactive buttons (that is a known issue with loupedeck since 6.x)

I have older buttons still assigned to profiles that show how it used to be. They still work, but cannot be added any more.

Here strip 4 shows as IN4, and bus 1 shows as A1; B1 used to show as B1 instead of bus 4. Also, the colors for strips and buses where different.

Thanks for the detailed information!

I'll add some options to customize text, colors, etc. in the future update. (no ETA yet, because I'm currently not at home. Unsure when I'm back.)
