If entering superuser password fails, offer to retry

Q: Is the ability to do this a configuration option for sudo, and if so can we mirror that behaviour?

This would be great. As it is, I mistyped my password on the last step, and I'm not sure the best way to proceed if I don't want to do the download/unxipping all over again.
