All the doctests are commented out because this algorithm returns dynamic values depending on different conditions. E.g. for the hoffman function, the encoding depends on how the 0s and 1s...

The problem seems to be from the `test_api_write` file. I just want to be sure that it is not specific to me before I go ahead to work on it
