Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. No

Describe the solution you'd like When a config file is present, have a message in the preferences to say it trumps the preferences... And also preferable disable the preferences screen.

Describe alternatives you've considered Having people ask me why preference changes don't do anything :(

Additional context None...

This would definitely help! Not 100% sure what is and isn't possible to display as part of the various IDE settings UIs, but we should investigate.

I just discovered your tool and love its features but I spent about an hour trying to figure out why my Settings.XmlStyler file in the root of my repo was not being applied to the solution. Turned out it was but it is not showing in the Options dialog.

The XAML Styler Configuration settings are very confusing and unclear. Even if you simply add to External Configurations an explanation that the settings from a Settings.XmlStyler won't appear in the options it may save someone similar trouble in the future.

I'm still unclear on what "Search to drives root" does. I assume it is only applicable if "External configuration file" is empty? The description doesn't say what exactly it is looking for. Is it any *.XamlStyler file or specifically Settings.XamlStyler?

Just some thoughts. Cheers
