3DS ROMs Not Working at All

Open Friendoton opened this issue 11 months ago • 10 comments

I have many 3DS games i dumped using Godmode9 on my 3DS and show up within Retrodeck. However when i try to launch them they don't work. Nothing seems to happen. I have switched to the three other Citra cores and two of them say something along the lines of no core installed. This has always been the case for me. Recently Panda3DS has been added and it doesn't work either.

I am not sure what i am doing wrong but help would be appriciated. These all work in the Lime3DS Flatpak and the APKs of Citra and Lime3DS. They are .3ds files.

i am not sure if i should make another issue for this or not so i will just include it here and if i should make a new issue let me know but i have many many .cia's i would normally install through the emulator itself. Most of these are eShop Games but this includes Important updates to fix game breaking bugs for M&L Dream Team as well as big features updates for Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Is there any way to play these within Retrodeck or install these updates? i don't want to mess with Citra in advanced options in case i break something but i am competent if that's needed.

Thanks for all you do. This software is a Joy to use. Remember to Smile :D

This is probably related to the a issue where some cores where not updated during the publication process to main and flathub.

We are doing a 0.9.1b soonish.

If you want to test our cooker builds to see if the bug is gone you can do so

A possible workaround to this issue is to reset RetroArch from the Configurator

I completely distrohobbed from SteamOS to bazzite and it still happened on both. I also completely uninstalled the flatpak and remove the .var dir. Didn't fix it. Everything else is working fine right now other than this. I don't think doing it again is going to fix it. :(

Thanks anyway tho.

I don't know what's the issue then but it seems solved as I tried it on 0.9.1b and it works.

I have tried as directed and it's not fixing the problem.

New retrodeck user with fresh install on steamdeck. I'm having the exact same issue as OP. Tried all the cores (including ponzu with a citra appimage) yet none of my games start and I receive no messages.

To this day it still doesn't work for me. Glad I'm not the only one.

Are they compressed? The Citra core is old and not supported by RetroArch.

We are going to add Azahar in the next update.

They are not compressed. They work in normal citra and none of the cores work at all. Doesn't matter if it's citra or not.
