Ban seems to fail on some people.

I just fails sometimes.

Seen this issue before, on Northdegree's version of Evolve. Horrible issue, and in my opinion needs to be urgently solved.

Is it some specific names / some specific ranks that are unable to ban/get banned? Or does it seem absolutely random?

I need a way to replicate it.

100% random. All are the rank: "guest"

Maybe it has to do with the steam IDs? If you run a server try replicating it by getting a group of friends and banning them all for 5 minutes.

So... let's say you can't ban someone. Is it possible it works if you try again right away?

We can't reproduce the error and I'm not sure what it causes. Are you running a Linux or a Windows server?

I could never reproduce it, however it happened randomly (Windows server). There was no 'common issue' with the names. As far as I remember, kicking them then banning their SteamID using !ban DID ban them. Alternatively, ranking them to something else (I used 'noob') allowed me to ban them, where previously the !ban command failed on that person.

My staff says it happens to users that have been on the server more frequently.

Do you have any recent errors? Wipf made some changes so error messages will give us a better idea of what is going on.
