macOS TR 2 & 3

I learned that TR 2 and 3 are not supported yet, but I can't get them to even start up. I saw that people are able to play them. What am I missing? I'm able to run TR1, but not 2 & 3.

  1. I donwloaded OpenLara_osx.zip
  2. Placed the extracted PSX CD files in the Contents/Resources folder (just like with TR1)
  3. Launch the App
  4. Click "Open" when Prompted
  5. Get a message "OpenLara quit unexpectedly."

Any help would be appreciated.

try to run the app from terminal and check output

I typed "open" and dragged the app on the Terminal window, it gave me the same "OpenLara quit unexpectedly." dialog. I'm not sure where I can find the output though. Sorry, not too technically inclined.

I tried it on both MacPro (running Catalina) and MacBook Pro (running Big Sur). Same errors. But, TR 1 runs flawlessly on both.

can you show how your Contents/Resources folder content looks like?

I tried with TR 2 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3
