Feature Request: Hold button functionality for Win/OS key

Open klhrt opened this issue 6 months ago • 2 comments

I use the OS key as my window manager modifier on my host PC, and unfortunately that means I cannot perform commands like moving windows around with the switch docked and have to pull it out and use the touch screen to do so. It would be very convenient to have this key treated like Shift, Ctrl, and Alt. Alternatively it could be very useful to perhaps have one of the triggers activate a "hold mode" so any key selected while RT is pulled (for example) toggle between held and unpressed. Either of these solutions would also allow windows users to open the run menu which I think is a useful enough justification for this even outside of weirdos like me who use custom Linux setups.

I guess I could simply set triggerType = true; for the windows key but I have no idea how to build this project unfortunately. I just spent an embarassing amount of time trying to build it both on ubuntu and on a windows vm but every time I fix a dependency a new one pops up, and I got frustrated and gave up.

I like the idea to lock keys by pressing trigger, I'll try to check what I can do about it
