Controllers rumble non-stop if connected wirelessly prior to launching Moonlight-Switch
This affects both the Pro Controller and Joy-Cons, does not happen if the controllers are connected (or Joy-Cons are detached) after launching. It can be fixed by reconnecting the affected controllers or returning home, then switching back.
Update: as of v1.2.0, this issue is still present.
It was recently updated to version 1.3.0, and overall, it works better than ever, but this issue you mentioned still happens to me even in this latest version:
- When I connect to Moonlight, it starts vibrating and doesn’t stop until I connect to a PC, log out of the PC session, and at that moment, it stops vibrating. After that, everything works fine when I reconnect to the PC.
- One way to make it work on the first try is to have no controller connected when I enter Moonlight. Once inside, I connect the controller, and it works fine on the first try.
It seems that Moonlight performs some sort of check for the rumble and isn’t able to disable this check, something it does when logging out from a PC.
Could this be checked? What exactly does Moonlight do when disconnecting a session from a PC, and is it possible to replicate that behavior when entering Moonlight?
Let me pin this issue, so I will not forget to check it later …
Just chiming in - there is still an issue with rumble in the latest version
