text input option does not apply regex

Describe the bug Regex doesn't appear to be applying when set

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Create a text component
2. add a regex expression
3. save
4. preview the page
5. check the text component is applying the regex rule Expected behavior A clear and concise description of what you expected to happen.
